Admitted 15th September 1832 age 37 years married and has had eighteen children.
She has been in a low desponding state ever since her confinements, eight or
ten weeks ago the first attacks, for which no reason can be assigned. The bowels
in general regular. Habits sober and temperate has shown no tendency to suicide
– has had apesient and anodyne medicines.

20th These last three nights has slept better subject to dreaming. The Medicines operate on the bowels more than desirable.22nd She did not take her pill last night, she slept pretty well but she had more rambling and dreaming – bowels right. She complains of pain in her forehead. Improving sleeps better and is more composed in mind.Oct 20th Complains of want of sleep, which she says makes her nauseous – bad of the stomach. |

| 22nd Slept well from the pill and expresses herself better: also relived of the Acidity of Stomach. Bowel – regular. |

| 24th 8 ’clock. Her bowels being costive she had this morning
half a brown powder which operated mildly. At the above hour she is reported
to have a stool of bloods and slime. She is now very cold and much frightened
at the complaints – there is full bloating of the abdomen. ? Pulse
small and weak, tongue white. |
8 O’clock. Apply the Vapour Bath Py Hydrary SubmunOther Pack for stationLet her have 3 gms Calsmel every two hours. |
